Chromebook Distribution

Parents, in an effort to support student learning during the school closure, Audubon Middle School will be distributing chromebooks to our students, Friday, March 20 and Monday, March 23 from 8am-11am in the front of the school. Students can bring the signed parent permission that can be downloaded below and/or parents can sign the form when they pick up the device. It is extremely important that students are able to log onto Schoology daily to complete assignments.

Grab & Go Food Center

Starting Wednesday, between 7-10am, Audubon will become a Grab & Go Food Center where children can come get two (2) meals to take home with them daily (Mon-Fri) ... Walk Up - please enter from of 11th Ave by the front entrance ... Drive Thru - cars can enter from the blacktop (on 9th Ave) and drive onto campus to pick up the food by the cafeteria and then drive off onto 11th Ave (no need to get out of car)

LAUSD Schools Closed for Two (2) Weeks

Effective Monday, March 16, all LAUSD public schools will be closed for two weeks while they evaluate the appropriate path forward. Students are being sent home today with assignments and instructional resources to be utilized during the closure. The goal is to ensure students have continuity of learning, whether on the Internet or using a textbook. While schools will be closed, the District will open 40 family resource centers to provide care for children if families need it.

Please check out our Title I Parental and Family Involvement Policy and the School-Parent Compact to better understand the commitment we are our making to our students and their families. The policy and school compact were mailed to parents on December 18, 2019.

Calling All Audubon Middle School Alumni

On Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Audubon Middle School and Gifted Magnet will be celebrating 90 years of educating students in the Leimert Park community and surround communities with celebrity Audubon Alumni such as Brandon Mebane (LA Chargers), Curren Price (Councilman), Arron Arnell “Bobo” Johnson (KJLH) and more.

October is College Awareness Month

October is designated as College Awareness Month throughout LAUSD. At Audubon, we remain dedicated to academic excellence and success. Several activities and events will take place the month of October. Audubon Eagles are college bound! Students may wear college t-shirts on Fridays, with their uniform pants.

American Heart Association Month (February)

The heart is responsible for sustaining all of the other organs in the body, so it is important that it be kept in good health. The lack of attention paid to one of the most important organs of the body can lead to heart disease or other health problems.

Blood Donor Awareness Month (January)

The act of giving blood is one of the most noble things you can do to help others, simply for the fact that you are creating a lifeline for people in need. Encourage the people in your community to get involved with this important awareness initiative by distributing blood donation giveaways.
