LAUSD Schools Closed for Two (2) Weeks

Effective Monday, March 16, all LAUSD public schools will be closed for two weeks while they evaluate the appropriate path forward. Students are being sent home today with assignments and instructional resources to be utilized during the closure. The goal is to ensure students have continuity of learning, whether on the Internet or using a textbook. While schools will be closed, the District will open 40 family resource centers to provide care for children if families need it.

October is College Awareness Month

October is designated as College Awareness Month throughout LAUSD. At Audubon, we remain dedicated to academic excellence and success. Several activities and events will take place the month of October. Audubon Eagles are college bound! Students may wear college t-shirts on Fridays, with their uniform pants.

The act of giving blood is one of the most noble things you can do to help others, simply for the fact that you are creating a lifeline for people in need. Encourage the people in your community to get involved with this important awareness initiative by distributing blood donation giveaways.

MEAL APPLICATIONS DUE-INCOME VERIFICATION

The "More than a Meal" program provides children with healthy meals for free or reduced prices. Meal applications are always accepted by the Food Services Division however; the State requests our student counts for low-income, foster and English Learners by October 29, 2019.

Audubon Middle School has officially been named as one of America's Healthiest Schools - 2019 and has been awarded a Bronze Level Certification.
