MEAL APPLICATIONS DUE-INCOME VERIFICATION

The meal application collection efforts are an annual process that is facilitated by the Food Services Division. The information is only used to verify student eligibility for free and reduced price meals. LAUSD also sends the count information to the California Department of Education to receive money that is used for before and after school programs, college application and exam fee-waivers, as well as instructional resources.
