Tynisa Jones- Instructional Coach

Greetings, Tynisa Jones here representing the Los Angeles Unified School District with an observable abundant amount of fervor to educate all students. My personal perception is that a highly qualified educator is one who has received an abundance of instruction and education in many/specified contents in the field of education. This fosters my idea that by preparing all students to successfully graduate from high school, be ready for college, and career with effective communicating skills will contribute significantly to improved educational outcomes, and to the nation’s most important goal, to produce lifetime learners that are adequately prepared for life and work in this 21st Century.

For the past twelve years I have taught in an inner-city school system as a Classroom Teacher, Intervention Specialist, Testing Coordinator, and currently Elementary Instructional Coach. During this time I have conducted action research, acquired multiple college degrees, credentials, and certifications to keep up with the ever changing trends in education. My career has led me to work with teachers on various grade levels in different capacities, and mentor a large majority of underprivileged students, who have been largely classified as at-risk or under-performing to include second language learners and students with special needs.

The heritage, respect, and familiarity that I have for the community in which I serve has allowed me to connect and build great relationships with community leaders and parents in support of student achievement. As a product of being inspired by great Teachers within the Los Angeles Unified School District from pre-K to grade twelve, I am proud and eager to work with all stakeholders and educate the mind of those who are destined to be our future leaders.
