The conference: "Nurturing the Gifts of the Gifted" will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 8:30 a.m – 12:30 p.m. at RFK Community Schools (registration begins at 7:30 am). This free parent event is open to all parents of LAUSD GATE/SAS students. Judith Galbraith, author of the book, "The Survival Guide for Gifted Kids" will be the keynote speaker. A variety of workshops will be available such as:
• Social-emotional needs of gifted students
• Differentiated instruction
• College preparation and planning
• Extended learning at home
• Parenting of gifted/talented children and more
